Tronix Tuesdays 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students celebrate the end of the school year with homemade volcanoes!
Tronix Tuesdays middle school students have been partnering with members of the CTEP AmeriCorps program based out of St. Paul to build a 3D printer! A 3D printer uses a computer program to build models out plastic. Tronix Tuesdays students have been learning all about the project from building the machine to learning different computer programs for 3D modeling.
Tronix Tuesdays took a dozen students to the Civil Engineers National Steel Bridge Building contest at the University of Minnesota in March. Tronix students watched the U of M compete with five other Midwest schools to build the toughest steel bridge and then had the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test! Three teams of students built balsa wood bridges that they tested for strength.
Thanks to the student chapter of the ASCE for an exciting day of engineering!
Tronix Team took 14 students on a winter break field trip to the Bakken Museum to have some hands-on fun with electricity!
Give to the Max Day is your opportunity to support Tronix Team and all the youth it reaches. On Give to the Max Day one lucky donor per hour will be selected and GiveMN will donate an extra $1,000 to that organization. Also, Park Avenue Youth & Family Services has a matching donor! Cargill will match the first $2500 raised by PAYFS!
